drink the delaware

love our local waterways? love local beer? then this local event is for you!

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

4 - 9 PM

Clean waterways matter! Fish, ecosystems, environment, culture, and the things you love to drink all depend on the health of them to survive and thrive; for Philadelphia, this especially means the Delaware River. Spend an evening soaking up information, imbibing brewed and distilled drinks that rely on the Delaware, and celebrating local industry with us at the first Drink the Delaware festival. Leave with a new awareness of the importance of local environmental stewardship and the need for clean waterways.

Hosted by the Independence Seaport Museum and Home Brewed Events, Drink the Delaware is a festival* where attendees not only can enjoy samples from local breweries, cideries, distilleries, and more but also learn about how water is used in the process and why it’s important to keep our region’s waterways clean. Hear from experts in related industries and services, sample drinks that utilize water from the Delaware River, and spend the evening celebrating this underappreciated, but critical resource.

Regardless of what’s in the glass, join us in a cheers to the Delaware River, the craftspeople and stewards who create community through it, and the services that protect and provide from it!

Learn, celebrate, and get involved (and raise a glass) to the Delaware! Check back on the Independence Seaport Museum website and social media for more updates.
