Summer on the Historic Ships

Spend Your Summer Visiting Our Historic Ships!

Enjoy even more opportunities to explore Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna at Independence Seaport Museum this summer. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, visitors will have a bigger selection of tour times during the day, the option to stay late on Friday and Saturday evenings, and, for those 21 years of age or older, join us for a pop-up Speakeasy experience on Olympia.

Extra Guided Daily Tours

For those visiting the Museum during the day, our daily guided tours offer the ability to dive deeper into nearly two hundred years of naval ingenuity located right here along the Delaware River. Led by our dedicated shipboard interpreters, these tours offer guests the ability to learn about what life was like aboard by walking through all the compartments of Submarine Becuna, or learn about the inner workings of Cruiser Olympia’s engines, which, during the time she was in service in the late 19th and early 20th century were considered engineering marvels.

Guided tours of Cruiser Olympia’s Engine Room are included in the Admiral Dewey and Climb Aboard packages. Guided tours of Submarine Becuna are included in the Admiral Dewey, Explorer, and Climb Aboard packages.

From Friday, May 26, until Sunday, September 3, the guided daily tours schedule will be as follows:
