Walk Around Philadelphia: Ecotopian Toolkit

    • Date: Saturday, May 14
    • Time: 2:30 PM
    • Description: Come learn about the Delaware River watershed and Philadelphia's relationship to it, how the city's port and river are connected to tributary creeks, industrial sites, and more. Plus, take away a piece of your own artwork at the Walk Around Philadelphia: Ecotopian Toolkit map printing workshop.
    • About the Toolmaker: Jacques-Jean "JJ" Tiziou (he/him/his) creates public art experiences, hosts house concerts, and works as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Based at The Cedar Works in West Philadelphia, JJ uses his work to celebrate community and cultivate connection. He has walked the city's entire perimeter nine times and invites you to join him in exploring the city's edge. Find out more at walkaroundphiladelphia.com.

JJ has been recognized as one of Philadelphia's "Creative Connectors" by Leadership Philadelphia and is the recipient of the Spiral-Q Artist Activist Award. His 85,000 sq. ft. mural, How Philly Moves (howphillymoves.org) at the PHL International Airport, was recognized as one of the nation's best public art projects by Americans for the Arts in their Public Art Network Year in Review. Lastly, he'd like to share a message with you at everyoneisphotogenic.com.
