Penn's Landing, Philadelphia PA
Open Daily 10am-5pm (215)413-8655
Enjoy a day of family fun on the Delaware River with an in-water boat show of beautiful
wooden vessels indigenous to the region, children's activities; intricate ship models by the Philadelphia Ship Model Society; mini remote-control boats to play with, and special behind-the-scene tours of the Museum's two National Historic Landmark ships, the Spanish American War Cruiser Olympia and the World War II Submarine Becuna.
Boats on display will include Silent Maid, a recreation of a 1920's Barnegat Bay catboat built by the Seaport's Workshop on the Water; Elf, a restored 1888 racing yacht; and a 50-foot restored wooden powerboat from the 1940s, sneakbox, garvey, railbird skiff, Delaware River tuck-up, and more.
Many members of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association will be displaying their boats at the festival.
It's a perfect way to launch Father's Day weekend!
