Floating Wetlands

The Seaport Museum's Floating Wetlands, located in the Penn's Landing boat basin, help keep the Delaware River clean and healthy for plants and wildlife. They beautify our waterfront and support a thriving ecosystem of birds, insects, fish and reptiles. Blooming with native plants during the warmer months, you can check out the activity above water on the live feed from Wetlands Cam #1:

More Floating Wetlands will be added as we expand our dock program during 2017 and 2018. Stay tuned for the addition of Wetlands Cam #2 coming soon for a view of the underwater action.

Independence Seaport Museum thanks the students and volunteers who helped plant this year's wetlands and The William Penn Foundation, PA Department of Environmental Protection and Pinelands Nursery & Supply for generously supporting this project.
