Hours and Tickets

Ticket prices include admission to Independence Seaport Museum's galleries, Workshop on the Water and our National Historic Landmark ships: Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna. For the safety of our visitors and staff, the historic ships may close without notice during inclement weather.

Group visits are available at reduced rates for a minimum of ten people. Reservations must be made in advance.

Seafarin' Saturday and Citizen Science Lab programming are included with regular admission.

Historic ships Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna are open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Admission to the historic ships after 5 p.m. is $8 per person. Last time to board is 7:30 p.m. 


CLOSED Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
OPEN on New Year's Day, Observed New Year's Day (January 2), MLK Day (January 16) and President's Day (February 20).

The main building of Independence Seaport Museum is wheelchair and stroller accessible, including our store and restrooms. Our historic ships, Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna, are not currently ADA accessible. 

Strollers are welcome in the Museum and may be parked in our self-service coat room. 

Designated parking spaces are available in the Hilton parking garage next door or in the Penn's Landing lot in front of Independence Seaport Museum. Both parking areas can be entered at Walnut Street and Columbus Blvd. 

Personal Care Assistants and Service Animals 
Visitors with disabilities may be accompanied by paid Personal Care Attendants (PCA) at no additional cost during their visit. This applies to all ticketed events, general admission and special exhibits that the visitor is attending. This also applies to membership and group sales tickets. Service animals are always welcome but must obey the same policies as all other visitors. 

Wheelchair Accessibility 
  • Wheelchairs are available in adult sizes, free of charge, at the Admissions desk. 
  • Our elevator serves both floors of the Museum. 
  • All bathrooms and water fountains are wheelchair accessible. 

Restrooms are located on the ground floor of the Museum's main building, down the hall off of the lobby before the coat room.
