The Warship Olympia Tattoo Arts Convention

Friday, July 21 to Sunday, July 23, 2017

By land or by sea, the fourth annual Warship Olympia Tattoo Arts Convention brings three days of heavy-hitting history and tattoo tradition.

Over 100 tattooers will set up shop on the decks of the historic Cruiser Olympia at Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia. This unique live tattooing event was announced by the "Tattooed Kingpin", Troy Timpel, Philadelphia artist and founder of the nationally touring tattoo convention operation, Villain Arts.

Artists will tattoo aboard the Cruiser Olympia all weekend. In addition to the Tattoo Lounge inside the main Seaport Museum building, a special "Tattoo Museum" on Olympia will also be on view featuring historical tattooing equipment, photographs, drawings, letters and more. Tattooers will create their work traditionally using acetate stencils from the original collection of Philadelphia tattoo legend Eddie Funk.

Get some new ink or view and purchase artwork as Cruiser Olympia is transformed for this special event.
