WWI: The Scavenger Hunt to End All Scavenger Hunts

Saturday, June 17, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Adventure awaits in this World War I inspired scavenger hunt throughout the city of Brotherly Love. Discover hidden Philadelphia history as you attempt to solve clues faster than the Seaport Museum's Living History Crew, local historians that aim to educate and preserve our steel flagship from the WWI era, Cruiser Olympia.  

The Living History Crew will be dressed in sailor garb and easy to spot but hard to defeat, as you try to complete the challenges before they do. 

The scavenger hunt will begin at Independence Seaport Museum. Participants will receive a list of clues and SEPTA passes for the journey through the city. The challenge is for adults, 21+. Teams can consist of up to three people. 

While solving clues on the scavenger hunt, participants will need to post proof of locations on Instagram using the hashtag, #SeaportWWI 

Cost:  $35 for individuals
$50 per couple
$65 per trio
