Exploring the Historic Ship Zone

Self-guided tours of Cruiser OLYMPIA and Submarine BECUNA
are available during Museum hours.

Due to a restoration project, the Museum's ships, Cruiser Olympia and Submarine Becuna, will be closed to the public August 15, 2005 through September 30, 2005. Click here to learn more about the project.

During the weekends, the Museum offers guided tours (when a docent is available). Typically, OLYMPIA tours take place at 1pm and BECUNA tours take place at 3pm. For more information, call 215.413.8658.

Behind-the-scenes tours of OLYMPIA take place on the first Saturday of every month at 12pm. Visit areas normally closed to the public, including the engine and boiler rooms. Must be 12 and older to go on the tour. Reservations are strongly recommended; call 215.413.8658. FREE with admission or membership.

For information about group tours and educational programming, please email our Group Sales Coordinator or call 215.413.8630.

Notice: For safety reasons, Independence Seaport Museum reserves the right to close the ships during severe weather.
