What Floats Your Boat?
Name the Shad Skiff!

Congratulations to Morris Lowitz-Coia of Springfield, PA, who was the winner in our "Name the Shad Skiff Contest." Morris's suggestion of WHIRLWIND was chosen to go on the shad skiff.
Runner-up, Ariele Monzo of Turnersville, NJ,
won for suggesting the name SEAWEED for the rocking boat that is also featured in the exhibit.
----------------------------
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENTRIES,
BUT OUR CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.
Independence Seaport Museum is calling on all kids (ages 6-12) to help name a new wooden boat currently under construction at the Museum. This replica shad skiff will be displayed in our new exhibit, What Floats Your Boat?, opening November 16, 2002.
If we pick your entry, your suggested name will be painted onto the boat, and your name will appear on an exhibit label describing the boat. How often do you get a chance to have your name appear in an exhibit? Pretty cool!
In addition, you and your family will go on a Museum-sponsored sail along the Delaware River, you’ll get a one-year Family Membership to Independence Seaport Museum, and you’ll be our guest of honor during the exhibit’s Opening Reception in November.
Carefully pick a name, let us know why you chose it, and email to us!
The boat should be named ________________.
I chose this name because_________________.
You can either email your entry (including your name, age and address), drop it off at Independence Seaport Museum, or mail it to:
