What Floats Your Boat? Home
What Floats Your Boat? is a hands-on interactive exhibit at Independence Seaport Museum that lets you experience the science, art and history of boat building.

You can test boat models in water and wind, plank a wooden boat and put together a boat frame. Then climb into a real 22-foot wooden boat to see how the process all comes together!

Congratulations to Morris Lowitz-Coia of Springfield, PA, who was the winner in our "Name the Shad Skiff Contest." Morris's suggestion of WHIRLWIND was chosen to go on the shad skiff.

Runner-up Ariele Monzo of Turnersville, NJ, won for suggesting the name SEA WE'D for the exhibit's flattie rowboat.
