Paranormal Investigation Aboard Olympia

Independence Seaport Museum will host a special paranormal investigation on Saturday, October 27 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. The Tri-County Paranormal Research Society will lead a paranormal investigation aboard the historic ship Olympia. A limited number of tickets are available at $40 per person to participate in the investigation.
The evening will begin with an introduction of tools and techniques of paranormal research and an overview of the history of the Olympia, a National Historic Landmark and the oldest steel warship still afloat. Along with a knowledgeable guide, visitors will investigate areas of the ship that have been reported to have paranormal activity: sick bay, guns deck, admiral's quarters and engine and boiler rooms. The investigation concludes at 11:30 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their finds and before departing the ship at midnight.
Tickets are $40 per person and reservations in advance are strongly recommended do to limited tickets available. To make a reservation, call 215-413-8649. No one under 16 will be permitted aboard and those under 18 need to be accompanied by a parent. Space is limited due to the nature of the investigation. No food or drink will be allowed in the investigation areas, but may be brought onboard for breaks. No alcoholic beverages are permitted. Visitors are encouraged to dress for weather conditions and wear sturdy comfortable shoes with low heels.
