By Foot - From the Independence Visitor Center on 6th and Market streets, walk south on 6th Street two blocks to Walnut Street. Turn left on to Walnut Street (going east). Cross Front Street and continue over the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. The Delaware River is straight ahead and Independence Seaport Museum to the right as you descend the steps (there is an elevator if needed).
By Car - Take I-95 (from north or south) to Exit #20 (formerly Exit #16) marked variously Historic Area, Penn's Landing, Columbus Boulevard., or Washington Avenue. At the light turn left on to Columbus Boulevard (aka Delaware Avenue). The Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing is about one mile up on the right. Immediately after the hotel, at the light, turn right into the driveway under the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge.
By Bus - Take SEPTA buses 33, 21 and 42 to the end of the line on Chestnut Street and Penn's Landing. Exit and walk to
the right, through the gate, and down the path of Penn's Landing's Great Plaza. Independence Seaport Museum's sign and colorful
signal flags signs marking the Museum's entrance is on the right.
Bus Routes 48, 17 and 5 come in to the bus station at Front and Market Streets.

By Subway - Take the Market-Frankford line to the 2nd Street Station. Exit and walk south two blocks on 2nd Street to Walnut Street. Turn left and cross the Walnut Street pedestrian bridge. The Delaware River is straight ahead and Independence Seaport Museum to the right as you descend the steps (there is an elevator if needed).
By Train - Take the Regional Rail Lines (SEPTA) train to the Market East Station (11th Street). Connect there with the Market-Frankford subway EAST to 2nd Street Station and proceed as above (Subway).
By Ferry - The Delaware RiverLink Ferry connects the Camden, NJ Waterfront, with Penn's Landing and Independence Seaport Museum. The Ferry runs 9:20 am-6 pm daily with departures every 40 minutes, April-September. For more information call 215.925.LINK.
By Boat - The Penn's Landing Marina offers a variety of slip sizes for boats cruising on the Delaware River. The Museum is adjacent to the Marina.
A discounted rate of $10 (good for six hours) is available at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn's Landing parking garage, adjacent to the Museum. Present your Hyatt parking ticket at the Museum's front desk when purchasing your admission ticket. The Museum cashier will give you a card to present to the Hyatt parking lot cashier upon payment and departure from the garage.
Additional parking is available at several attended lots along Penn's Landing as well as at meters and several lots within Old City. Parking is within easy walking distance to the Historic Area, many restaurants, the Visitors Center and other attractions.
Top
