Boat Building 101- presented by Independence Seaport Museum's Workshop on the Water.
Everything you need to know to build your own boat...in just two weekends!
Class is 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday
February 11th & 12th and February 18th & 19th
This unique, hands-on class takes the new builder through all phases of boat building. Learn how to get the most out of a set of plans, building the backbone, steaming frames, planking, spar-making, interior joinery, and more. While participants won't go home with their own boat, each student will construct the most difficult pieces and learn enough to proceed on their own with confidence. All tools and materials are provided, and class participants must be 16 or older. $270 for Museum members, or $315 for non-members, which includes Museum membership with unlimited admission for one year.
